Memorial services for Allen Curtis Jolly will be held on Sunday, October 02,2016 at 3:00 PM at Hannigan Smith funeral home with Pastor David Jordan officiating.
Curt went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 14, 2016.
Allen Curtis Jolly, 75 of Athens, Texas was born on October 24, 1940 in Hopewell, VA., son of Alvin Jolley and Jeannie Lucille Curtis Jolley. Curt joined the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Disabled American Veteran group, He enjoyed being a cook at Disciples Crossing. When he wasn’t working he spent his free time woodworking, gardening and landscaping. Curt was a member of Life Fellowship Church, he loved spending every moment he could serving the Lord and in being the church he called home.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandmother Hilda Jolley; brother Robert Poole.
Curt is survived by his wife Barbara Jolly of Athens, TX; sons, Christopher Blair of Athens, TX, Micah Brookes and wife Stephanie of Silverdale, WA, Marvin Levassar and Jason Levassar both of Sulphur Springs, TX; sisters, Diane Jolley Brown of Hopewell, VA, Deborah Price of Florida; grandchildren, Tyler Brookes, Jett Mercer, Bethany Hutson; a host of nieces and nephews and five beloved cats.
