Funeral Services for Alfred Kelley, 84, of Athens are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Sand Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Erick Graham officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens.
Mr. Kelley went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 17, 2017 in Athens.
Alfred Winson Kelley was born July 20, 1932 in Columbia, Tennessee the son of Alfred Winson Kelley and Ora Jane Shepherd Kelley. He was inducted into the Army in 1957 and spent nearly ten years serving our Country. He was a member of the Sand Springs Baptist Church and was a good Christian man who loved reading his Bible. Alfred owned Athens Alternator & Battery for many years and worked hard to provide for his family. He was a musician who loved to sing and play his guitar; even spending time in his younger years in a country and western band. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be missed by all he knew and loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bobby Kelley.
He is survived by his loving wife Donna Kelley of Athens; four sons, James “Jimmy” Kelley of Columbia, Tennessee, Alfred “Mike” Kelley and wife Phyllis of San Angelo, Curtis Kelley of Mabank, Doug Edwards and wife Cathy of Hamilton, Ohio; four daughters, Cornelia Rogers and husband Jimmy of St. Augustine, Manuela Phillips of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Cheryl Croy and husband Terry of Garland, Karen Short and husband Fred of Germantown, Ohio; one sister Dorothy Overstreet of Nashville, Tennessee; two grandsons; seven granddaughters; ten great grandchildren and several nephews.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Jimmy Kelley, Mike Kelley, Curtis Kelley, Colby Kelley, Terry Croy and William Hammack.
Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens.
