Obituary for Lawrence David "Andy" Anderson

Athens – A Celebration of the Life of Andy Anderson, 82, of Athens will be held 2:30 P.M., Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Eastern Hills Church of Christ of Athens with Elder Danny Davis officiating.

Mr. Anderson went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 23, 2018 in Athens, Texas.

Lawrence David “Andy” Anderson was born July 30, 1935 in Dallas, Texas the son of Lawrence E. Anderson and Myrtle Oberg Anderson. Andy was honored to be a part of the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University and graduated in 1957. He was a masonry delivery supervisor for TXI and worked there until his retirement. Andy was a member of the Eastern Hills Church of Christ and known as a family man that loved his wife, children and especially his grandbabies. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dolores Jean Attaway Anderson; three children, Kie Anderson and wife Cheri of Larue, Kurt Anderson of Dallas, Russell Anderson and wife Mandy of Wimberley; two sisters, Janice Floyd of Sulpher Springs, Nancy Cofer of San Antonio; ten grandchildren, Megan Murphy and husband Seth, Jensen Anderson, Shaun Hanks and wife Christie, Jamie Hanks and wife Christian, Morgan Anderson, John David Anderson, Peyton Anderson, Garen Holt, Harrison Holt, Kylie Garner and four great grandchildren, Marlee Joe Murphy, Atley Hanks, Peyton Hanks and Bella Hanks.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made in his memory to:
