Obituary for Peggy Junieta Massey (Johnson)

Graveside services for Peggy Massey, 77, of Athens are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Post Oak Cemetery near Malakoff under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.

Mrs. Massey passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 in Athens, Texas.

Peggy Junieta Johnson Massey was born January 17, 1939 in Eureka, Texas the daughter of Howard Johnson and Hattie Robinson Johnson. She was a Baptist and a member of the Ash Baptist Church. She dearly loved her family and was a great wife and mother who will be missed by all she knew and loved.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and one son Kenneth Massey.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 63 years LeRoy Massey of Athens; her two children, Barbara Thompson of Valley Mills and Mary Thomas and husband Reggie of Waco; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
